My Logitech laptop speakers and sub-woofer system finally died and it was time to replace it and I got this system. This system is easy to set up and sounds great. It’s a real improvement in power over the previous one with lots of good bottom and rumble from the sub-woofer, great amount of volume for the size of the speakers (they fit nicely on my very small laptop desk behind my monitor), and decent separation of frequencies for the money. Can sound a little muddy with bass turned all the way up, but easy to modulate that. Also – I LOVE the puck for remote volume control. Can bring it into the kitchen with me and control volume (and bass level) of the music I’m listening to, as well as pausing it, while making dinner without having to keep running back to the laptop/speakers as I used to. The puck does less well in controlling rewind/fast forward, couldn’t really make that work. I like that you can connect three different ways – wireless through bluetooth, or a wired connection through either headphone jack or USB. I’m using it wired, with the cord they provided (no usb cable provided fyi). Having trouble connecting it through bluetooth and can’t really figure out why, but it sounds/works so great wired through the headphone jack that I don’t care, and I’m sure it’s a user error on my part and I’ll figure it out if I really want to. Very pleased with this purchase.

Logitech Z407 offers impressive sound quality, especially considering their compact size. The bass is powerful and enriches the listening experience, while the wireless control adds convenience. Setup is straightforward, and the design is versatile.

First and foremost these speakers sound great – whether you’re directly connecting or using Bluetooth. The highs and mids are crisp and clear while the bass is very responsive. Great build quality for the price all said and done.
The only negative and it’s not enough to knock a star off is that there is no functional “off” for Bluetooth. So in my set up where this is in our basement workout area, you have to select “disconnect” from your phone rather than being able to simply turn off the system or at least easily disable Bluetooth on the system itself. Minor thing, but could matter more to others looking for this feature.

I had a great set of desktop stereo speakers, but wasn’t a fan of the wire clutter. When the time to replace them arrived, I was surprised to find this system for a reasonable price. I have the speakers on their sides so the sound can travel underneath my ultra-wide monitor. No wires on my desktop. Setup was simple. Directions are in the box flaps and in a downloaded user manual. On my Mac, I set the Sound tab to max which gave the speakers more potential. With the subwoofer, the sound has more depth. I like the wireless puck, but wish the volume control didn’t require so much movement/time to change up or down. But I can still turn audio on/off quickly.

The Logitech Z407 offers very good computer audio quality, is well built, has a sleep power mode, has a remote control, is easy to install, and has flawless Bluetooth connectivity. It’s an excellent value and I will get one for my wife’s computer.
We have been using the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 Bluetooth speakers that have a bit better bass (larger woofer) but have unreliable Bluetooth connectivity, more complicated installation, cannot be powered off when not in use, and we have had component failures even during warranty. Woofers have now failed in both sets, so they are on their way to recycling.
