Our SmartComms Kit was developed to fix one common issue for Windows users-to simplify the way we communicate online-via a suite of smart communication features. Why fuss over mute controls or get distracted by unwanted background noises when you should be focusing on what matters instead? Plus, it can be used with any headsets or headphones with microphones!
With features such as VoiceDetect that automatically unmutes you as you speak, and NoiseClean that provides two-way noise cancellation which cancels static background noise during a call, your conversations will be less disruptive.
Our VoiceDetect feature controls your mute status by voice detection as you speak-the headset’s microphone gets muted automatically after you stopped speaking, and unmutes you instantly as you start to talk. There is absolutely no need to fiddle with any buttons whether physical or in-app, so you can stay focused on your train of thought.
NoiseClean-in analyzes your incoming audio (imagine someone with a noisy background in your video call), detecting and suppressing the unwanted noises, before sending just the caller’s clean voice to you through your headphones. NoiseClean-out does the same-but for your own background noise.
*The NoiseClean feature work best for static background noises such as fans, air conditioning, air purifier, humidifiers, vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, electric shavers, and even lawn mowers.
1. After installing the Sound Blaster Audigy Fx V2 in your PC, download and install the Creative app from our support page onto your Windows PC.
2. Go to the SmartComms Kit module and switch on the features. To make further adjustments or control each feature individually, access the Advanced settings inside the SmartComms Kit module.

Step 1
Remove power cable from the PC, then remove its cover or side panel.
Step 2
If there is an existing sound card slotted in a PCI / PCI-e slot, remove it from the PC.
If the slot is empty, proceed to Step 3.
Step 3
Remove the metal bracket from a preferred PCI-e slot in the PC.
Step 4
Gently but firmly slot the Sound Blaster Audigy Fx V2 sound card into the PCI-e slot.
The Sound Blaster Audigy Fx V2 is upgradable with the purchase of a daughterboard expansion card. The Sound Blaster Audigy Fx V2 DBPro is easy to set up and comes with additional features to complement your PC audio upgrade journey!

I’m a Linux and Windows user and while tinkering with my computer, the onboard motherboard sound card died. When I finally got this sound card I had just shut off my computer, turned off the power supply, plugged it in, turned back on the power supply and started the computer. Got right into Ubuntu and everything was working.

I installed this in our church computer when we had to replace the entire computer. The new computer uses PCI-e connector. This card sounds great. I have used many Creative Labs Sound Blaster over the years. None have disapointed me. Linux has great drivers that are recognized for these sound cards. There are lots of things to control. I have inputs and outputs both going at the same time. Adjusting levels gets everything right and no feedback problems.
Maybe –
Installed this on my PC, hit the power button and within 2 seconds my PC shut down. Rechecked that the card was installed correctly, hit the powers button again and pc start booting up and down for few minutes. Finally, after my pc started up, checked to see if the card was recognized, no luck. Did try to run the drivers from creative, only to get a error message that it could not find the product. Try another reboot only to kept cycling the PC auto repair.
Removed the card and my PC is back to normal. Needless to say sending the product back.
Hegemon –
No crackling, no background noise, no clicks just clean and clear sound. Great for Games and has a plug in for your computer header panel. Been using Creative Sound Blaster for decades and never had a problem with any of their cards. Also have a Sound Blaster Z and a AE-7 Card.
Remodel –
I placed this in a Lenovo desktop to bypass the onboard sound, which had developed static.
This Creative unit has great sound, and, coupled with the Logitech 5.1 unit I also bought, was a good buy.
The lower stars on tech support were because I haven’t had to use them so can’t comment, and the one star reduction on the ‘gaming’ section was because I don’t game but would imagine gamers to be a bit more discerning when it comes to sound cards.

I installed this as a replacement for the sound function on my motherboard. I could get the Rear Sound and surround sound to test OK, but could never get the rear speakers to work as rear speakers in games and music. I ended up using a splitter to split the front speaker sound to both front and back speakers. I tried to get help from SoundBlaster, but was not able to do so. It works adequately for what I need, but I am disappointed I could not get them to work. Yes, the speakers and plugs work OK. I plugged them into another sound system and they worked great.
