‘ve loved Altec Lansing designs since I was in college decades ago. Usually powerful for their compact size, I used their ACS 300 surround for ages on my computer – a big investment that basically paid off as it was my main stereo and entertainment system for as long as I had it!
I got these remembering how good the ACS 300 was, and the little box is very chiq and compact, great for taking on work sites and is worry free from a bit of rain or splashed beer on it here and there. Decent sound for such a tiny and easily portable package too, surprisingly full sound. Great for on-the-go moments or when I am working agilely around a site.

I mounted this in the wall behind our recliners and the sound is great. If used with your TV, you have to turn it on but shuts off automatically when the TV is shut off. With the sound behind us, we can understand what’s being said easier. I keep it plugged in. Not sure how long the battery lasts, that’s why I have it Xed out.

Have this as a gift to my 17 year old step brother, and he really likes it! He uses it in the shower everyday and was impressed it didn’t die for 20+ days.

I got this speaker on a steal of deal and couldn’t pass up the option. I am currently using it on my desk to listen to music quietly in the office. I have pumped up the volume a few times when people the office is empty. The sound quality is good and the battery life is outstanding. My larger speaker came with a carrying bag and this one did not. So the cord is just sitting it my desk, it would have been nice if it included a bag. The sound is not as loud as some people would like. But giving the cost and the size it is perfect my needs.

If you came looking for a speaker than can handle a humid environment and maybe getting misted once in a while with some water sprays, this is it. I had a mini Altec Lansing that was like a little key-chain, I believe the Mini H2O. The sound quality on that one, for being as small as it was, was pretty great. It held up in the shower extremely well, but the battery started dying so I thought I’d just get another.
This big one sounds much better (obviously) and it handles being sprayed/misted/occasionally splashed pretty well. I bring it directly with me into my shower because I love listening to tunes in there, and my shower is a pretty small one-man shower so it’s gonna get wet.
I’ve had/been using this speaker for a month now, in and out of the shower, and the battery life is astonishing as well. Lately I’ve been using it as a hookup to my computer using the AUX cord because some things I try to watch are too quiet and the computer speakers don’t always cut it, and just today I’ve left it on for probably 8 hours straight, it was in use the whole time, and I’d bargain it still has a lot of battery left. It doesn’t take terribly long to charge either.
I haven’t tried completely DUNKING it in water (I’m not sure why you’d want to? Accidents happen though.), but it has great resistance to being directly in a shower for about the 20-30 minutes I’m in there. Overall, I’m happy with my investment in this and I don’t usually leave reviews, but I thought I would in case anyone else like me who likes listening to really loud music in the shower is trying to look for something that can withstand water while still sounding good.

In preparing for the upcoming spring/ summer month’s I ordered a similar speaker as this for me to use while sitting at the pond. As soon as my daughter saw my speaker she started complaining that she wanted a cool speaker to have to take to the beach with her friends. I have purchased from this store before and I know they make quality items so I didnt hesitate to order this mini life jacket bolt. It is a nice heavy duty rugged speaker. I am pretty sure this speaker will hold up to any situations that may arise. So far so good she has been using it for a few weeks now basically on full blast daily and the sound is amazing. It is a tad on the smaller size but the sound quality makes up for it. It is also water proof so if it gets wet its not a big deal.
