1. Built like a tank. 2. Good quality connectors. 3. Works like it says. It took a bit to get used to the lights and the controls, but after getting rolling I went thru a huge bin of “unknown” or “suspect” cables like a whirlwind. Every flavor of cable in the box this thing had an answer for it. I then had “house wiring” to a stage to debug. For that, I made a dummy plug for the far end with a switch to short either 1-2 or 2-3, or to leave it open. Again, went thru all of them in two shakes. Then fired up the sound board and checked the phantom power on a couple dozen mike jacks, and then used the tone generator to check complaints of “bad sound” on a couple of channels. It seemed like a lot to spend on what is essentially a simple tool, but it was well worth it, and the intermittent captures were fast and spot-on. A real time-saver.
