I wanted to like these based on the reviews and my positive experience using many of the creative bluetooth earbuds in the past, but I can’t find anything to like about these. I tested on a wide variety of devices to be sure it wasn’t just my Samsung Phone or my iPad or my laptop. Everything about them leaves me with the question of “Why?”. Why are they so hard to pull out of the case? Why do they feel like they will fall off my ears at any moment? Why are phone calls so incredibly bad … and I mean incredibly bad (tinny sound like something from a cheap bluetooth device made 8 years ago). Why do they have less battery life than any of their cheaper earbuds? Then the basic sound playback is terrible. I mean I could live with the design issues and even mediocre phone calls, but their $30 earbuds sound miles better.
Seriously their Creative Outlier Pro earbuds blow these away for half the price and I mean there is no comparison at all just go buy those and never look back at these.

I was impressed with the sound quality as compared with the budget earbuds I was using before. I played several tracks and did a head to head comparison with my budget earbuds, the difference in sound quality was far greater than I expected. For example at the beginning of the Spoon track Don’t You Evah there is some whispered banter going on between two band members, with the budget earbuds this is muddled and inaudible, with the Aurvana’s it is crystal clear and every word can be heard. Amazing. Then the deep bass line kicks in, on the budget earbuds this sounded bloated and flabby, with the Aurvana’s it was tight, punchy and accurate. I was skeptical that earbuds at this price could sound so good, consider me convinced now. These are the real deal and a great bang for the buck.

I’ve been an Aurvana user since the first gen in-ears. I still use the wired Aurvana 2. They fit in my ears perfectly. When the Aces were announced, I was very excited that “my” earbuds were finally going wireless.
I received the Aurvana Ace a couple weeks ago, and after playing around a bit, got the sound just right. They truly sounded amazing. I tried different styles of music from Yes and Pink Floyd, to ballads, modern alternative, folk, electronic, and others. Everything sounded great, better than any other Bluetooth earbuds I’ve tried.
The first problem, though, is they hurt my ears after a while. They’re heavier than Apple’s AirPods Pro, and you feel it.
The second problem was they felt loose even after trying different tips. I could shake my head, and they wouldn’t fall out, but they didn’t feel snug.
It was the third problem that caused me to return them. The first or second day after getting them, I noticed a squeak when I adjusted the left bud. A couple days later, it turned to a static noise. Usually, it was only while adjusting it to fit better in my ear, but one night while lying and listening in bed, the static would start as my body was in certain positions.
I returned them the next day.
I hope Creative can continue working on and improving the Aurvanas, but for now, they’re not for me.
