I did not like the sound quality of the product. It did not surpass the quality of my on-board motherboard line-out. The bass was worse when tested against my motherboard, and I tested it with the same speaker and headset. I will say that I did not do enough research and then realized that I should have gone with a 32-bit/384 kHz PCIe if I was really serious about improving my sound quality. This one is 24-bit 192 kHz. So, I guess it is not fair to say it is a bad product. After all, you pay for what you get. It sounds good after all, just not as good as I wanted it to. I will be returning it to get a better sound card or an alternative. For reference, my motherboard is “z390aorus pro wifi”. I hope this review helps others pick their sound card. Happy shopping.

I use this sound card for the ability to listen to music on monitor speakers while I’m gaming with a headset. Some times I randomly lose audio and have to restart the pc to fix it but it happens pretty rarely.

Easy to install / setup. Excellent sound quality in music and gaming (tested using stereo headphones). Hearing many more sounds in video games. Very happy with this purchase.

Sound cards and audio components are often one of the last things people think of when they build or upgrade a computer. I will be honest with you and say that I spent far longer on my motherboard’s integrated sound card then I should have. If you built a computer in the 90’s to early 2000’s the name SoundBlaster will bring you some nostalgia. Creative Labs has been making Sound Blaster cards for a long time, and it shows in the quality of even their less expensive cards. The Sound Blaster Audigy Rx main processor was released in September 2013, but has been updated throughout the years and continues to display great sound quality and volume.
Although sound can be a subjective topic, I believe that you will notice a difference the moment you make the switch from your motherboard audio. In my system (specs below) It made a world of difference. I no longer can hear the coil wine through my desktop speakers when I am playing a game, and the sound of both games and movies sounds richer, slightly warmer, and more organic then my onboard audio.

Great sound, easy to install. Somewhat confusing which port to use.

I built a new computer with a Gigabyte motherboard which unfortunately omitted the standard set of jack outputs for audio that all motherboards usually come with. So, to use my 5.1 set of Logitech computer speakers, I needed to add an additional sound card containing the jacks. Because I didn’t want to spend a lot I decided on this Audigy RX sound card which seemed to have decent features at a reasonable price.
