Plugging in and setting up was a breeze, the software from creative works great and while the ambient mode isn’t EXACTLY the same as the pixel buds it works great, I can still hear what is going on around me with them on and if I need to have a conversation the ambient mode kills the sound from the pc and I can hear clearly from outside with the headset on. The mic monitoring mode allows me to hear sounds from outside and in game it kinda mixes the sound so its not the mode I would use all the time but its a nice feature.

I was in the market for a sub-$100 headset, and of course, there were lots and lots of choices. Overwhelming doesn’t begin to cover it. What made Creative stick out was, well, one, I legitimately forgot the company existed, even though I vaguely remember having earbuds from them over a decade ago (they still make headsets, and their legendary PCI-E soundcards by the way). Second, I loved the design of the simple totally-not-flashy SoundblasterX H6 and the rather tasteful amount of RGB on the headset, in the form of circular rings on the cans.

Im a little old fashioned when it comes to Headphones, If there wireless then simply say it in the title, if not show a picture where the cable is connected. So why is it we are seeing the trend of these headphones that have detachable cables??? thats just another point of failure for them. Which is exactly what happened to mine. Cable now refuses to sit in the adapter hole and the included 3.5mm cable is wayyyyy to short. Creative you were the best back in the day, but you just suck now

Have used for the past year. I really really like them – the sound is still good, still comfortable on the head. But unfortunately had enough issues with the mic having static and popping and the Sound Blaster control software being a pain to fight with that I unplugged the mic and use the crappy mic on my webcam instead

Do you need a headset with a good microphone? Would you like the headset to do double duty so you can create music on the laptop when you don’t have your audio interface with you? That’s what I got these for and I am totally happy with them. They sound awesome and are super comfortable. The microphone and cable are detachable so they pack nicely. I have tried them with the USB connection and I am blown away. They come with a standard 3.5mm cable also, but that’s not what I wanted them for. Great headset!
UPDATE after a year of normal use. The USB connection to the headset is getting quite loose and will disconnect with the slightest movement, which causes my app to crash. I love everything about this headset except the tenuous connection.

The phones are good, only cons is the lack of USB C, but is not a big problem.

First impression was great. Headset is well constructed but sound and microphone lasted around 2 hours, it seems the USB Plug got ‘loose’ i tried another USB but got worst, even my SKYPE call, voice was muffled. I’m a DJ and also play games occasionally but had to fall back to my battered Logitech headset and continue shopping. New PC just did not like the SounblasterX hc6 or the Creative software. I was incredibly frustrated switching headsets, just to found out the USB plug wasn’t the same quality as the firm fitting headset.
