I tested this out with both an iPod Touch and an iPhone 3G and both worked great. Pairing was easy, but you do need to read the simple instructions. Like I said the only issue is an Apple problem with the alarm clock as it only plays ring tones, not music. So if you download he right App it will then wake you up to music and not just a ring tone. The sleep timer built into the Apple clock app plays music until your designated shutoff.
I had a Logitech Pure Fi Anytime, that was garbage. It could not dock with the iPhone case on and the connector broke quickly. I really wanted it to work.
This devise allowed me to use the same charger I usually use and get the timer and the alarm clock and regular music to play. Best of all you can pickup your phone and control it like normal.
This is ultra portable and well made. Don’t expect ear shattering sound… but it can fill a bedroom comfortably and clearly… and that is all I needed. I have not really used it for outdoor purposes, but I expect that it work fine at a picnic table or two.
As a speaker phone it is average, which was an unexpected bonus for me.
If you want to play your iPhone through a bedroom speaker system that is portable this is good call.
